Rajamouli Receives National Award For Best Feature Film For ‘Bahubali’

President Pranab Mukherjee had given away the National Award for Best Feature Film to ‘Bahubali’ and its director SS Rajamouli had received the coveted award. Not only the Best Feature Film award, ‘Bahubali’ had also received the Best Award for Special Effects. Likewise Amitabh Bachchan received the Best Actor (Male) award, while beauty queen Kangana Ranaut bagged the Best Actor (female) award. Likewise, the Best Feature Film for regional languages was given to ‘Kanche’ directed by Krish and he received the award from the President. The 63th National Film Awards function was held at Vignan Bhavan in New Delhi. Veteran actor Manoj Kumar, 78, had been awarded the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award. He was brought in a wheel chair and he got a standing ovation while receiving the award from the President and the venue was reverberated with claps from the participants. He is the 47th recipient of Dada Saheb Phalke Award. With the bagging the Best Feature Film Award at the National Awards for Films, Rajamouli had enhanced the prestige of the Telugu Cinema to the national level.
